Question Re-torquing heads ?

Hi all.
Removing left hand head to replace its gasket with a small leak from coolant passage into #7 combustion chamber, noticed that some outer head bolts were not tight as the central ones.
Could that have caused the failure ?

The manual does not give torque figures but could be 'sensed' with a torque wrench after installing per the service manual 180 degrees instructions.

If a torque figure is found as reference that way, should the still healthy right hand be retorqued to prevent gasket failure, and/or do the re-torquing on the newly fixed after a number of miles?

At the machine shop, warping was not detected per the manual inspection procedure, but showed 0.003" warping across #7 and the coolant passage. Such location/direction is not under the check lines per the manual. Watch out !

Interesting lack of comments.

Rephrasing...
Should a not-failed head gasket be torque-checked as precaution and peace of mind, if the other head was found poorly torqued with a leaky gasket ?

you should have replaced both at the same time because now when the other fails you will pay twice for gaskets.

and no torquing wont do squat.
