Reseting Engine code

Reseting Engine code
I have tried and failed to reset the Service Engine Light and the Check Engine Light on my 98 Range Rover SE 4.0. The SE and CE kight came on 7 days apart at the 82,500 mile mark.
I have tried several times over the past few months by unplugging the black wires under the passenger seat method with the key setting change, but the SE light and the CE light is still there.
My dealer is 90 miles away in Baton Rouge louisiana, and I just don't have the spare time to take it there.
I had the codes checked at two different AutoZones but the test show "No Errors."
Has anyone else here canceled the SE and CE codes successfully?
Thanks

First off the check engine light needs to be reset with a OBDII scanner, you can buy one or rent one and reset the light yourself.
You can buy a cheap OBDII scanner for under $50, it is a great tool to have.
As for the service engine soon light, there is a way to reset that yourself but I do not know what it is for a RR.
I know how for a DI, but not the RR, sorry.
