Default rough idle and bumpy ride

Hey Folks.

im having issues with 04 disco. i started to feel a vibration in driving. so i thought it might be the front shaft, so I replaced it with GBR drive shaft. That didnt fix it, so I upgraded the shocks to Terra Firma. Its a little bit better, but still bumpy. and it wasnt bumpy before. so im thinking maybe tie rods or bushings? I looked underneath but nothing looks blown. Its like i can feel every bump on the freeway. haha

It could be a combination of things mixed with the rough idle.?

As for the rough idle, I changed the spark plugs to bosch 4 point and it got rougher. I then changed the wires to 8mm. still no change. I put some 44k in the gas and had their bg fuel injection cleaner service. still no change. lots of white smoke, but still rough and times. It did get worse when i put the plugs in so maybe one of them are bad.?

I have no loss of power. just idle is F'd up.

I could try cleaning the Idle control valve?

Thanks,

Johann

The +4's are pure junk, go to NGK copper plugs.
If you are blowing white smoke you have a blown head gasket.

As for the bumpy right, have you checked the obvious? Like the self leveling suspension in the rear?

Hey Spike,

The white smoke was from the fuel injection service..

I will try changing the plugs.. I suspect its the culprit.

I dont know about the self leveling suspension.. its more in the front. does the "S" model have self leveling?

Thanks

I do not know if the "S" model came with SLS or not, you will need to look under the back of the truck to see.

Let us know how it turns out for you.
