Default Steering Help...

I have kinking in my steering, almost like it was bent and rubbing/bumping inside the steering column. I had a accident on the front right of my 2003 Disco and nothing looks to be wrong with anything, such as tie rods and stabilizer arm etc... I was wondering if the impact of the accident could have bent the steering column, and if so, does anyone know how hard taking out the steering column and checking is? I have all the tools that i required to do any work to the LR, plus have a lift. The bumping is only felt in the exact same spot when turning the wheel..

I would get it to a shop and then call your insurance agent.
