Victor Reinz Gaskets Not Quite What Expected
IIRC, my Reinz were not perfectly centered on the oil hole, but were not overlapping it either.
As it was my first HG job, Im pretty sure I wouldve made a post about it if it was as off as Buzz's pics show.
I was dealing with a cracked block though, so, while unlikely, it is possible I said, "F'it, good nuff", and slapped it back together

FWIW, I have a set of Elring gaskets which I checked, and they line up fine. It's slightly off center, but the edge of the gasket hole is on the edge of the block hole so it's fully against the block face. No overlap.
Here a pix of the copper spot left behind when I pulled off the heads.
More fun surfaced as I started to put exhaust manifolds back on. The bend once locking tabs for the bolts are not considered a gasket and not part of the set..... Wonder if I can straighten these out on a brick with a hammer?
