Cool, glad it turned out to be something cheap.

x2 on thanks for reporting back.

My only concern is that changing shocks and hub bearings, if that's all he really did, won't affect the alignment. Next step I would do is remove the steering damper and (carefully) drive it where it would wobble before and see if it does it again to any degree. If it does, you still have some issues.
It could be that the bad alignment was enough to get it going beyond what the damper is able to mask.

Hey, guess what?! The damn wobble came back with a vengeance and sent us flying off the road the other day. I actually noticed a "little" wobble a few weeks ago. Needless to say, the Disco is going straight to the shop today

The mechanic really needs to go through the list I linked to in post #10, step by step.
Just a visual inspection won't do it. Offer to do the steering wheel wiggling if he doesn't have someone else to.
I'd remove the steering damper until you get it sorted out.

HELP! I took the Disco to a different shop and they want over $500 just to take apart a few things and make sure it was all put back together properly when the previous owner replaced the ball joints. Here's the issue AFTER I had an alignment/balance/rotation completed.
-Violent Vibrations AFTER hitting a bump or imperfection with the RIGHT time only. The left tire blazes over anything without a hiccup. It goes away if I veer left.

I need to have the Disco ready for a road trip in 7 days...oh my.

Do you know off-hand which bearings and washers I need to replace when I check this? There are a ton listed on the parts site...I'm new at this so don't hold the dumb questions against me

You need the rebuild kit for a Discovery 1 w/ABS. Rather, you might need that, if it's your problem.

Has anyone gone through the list I posted of things to check? The entire list.

I am unsure. I provided it to the shop I took it to, but I was not impressed. They seemed to have a know-it-all attitude and I felt like they were ignoring my suggestions :/ I can't check it on my own, so it looks like I'll have to take it to yet another shop...
