What Did this motor come out of ?????
No what i am saying is the motor i bought never had a power steering pump there is a pulley holder bolted in place of the pump and it holds an idler pulley in place of the pump...it also has a P38 thermostat so i think it came out of a P38 .
Well I can see the AC compressor is missing than the idler and the empty spot where the PS pump goes. As for the P38 thermostat it may well be never paid much attention to it. From looking at your off angle pics I would say someone pulled the motor and left the PS pump connected to the lines and same with the AC compressor.

I might be missing something i need to go and look at the disco that this motor is going into and see ware the power steering pump goes thanks for responding i appreciate it do you know how to tell the difference between a 4.0 or 4.6 I will probably take this motor apart and do the heads. mabe rod and main bearings and a timing chain...not sure how far i will get into the motor until i get into it
Yes that is a P38 engine. The dead giveaway is the motor mount design. The front cover is also completely different (different oil filter location). You would be able to make it work in your application by swapping the front cover and accessory drive with your existing parts. I would recommend replacing the oil pump if you do so.
