Exclamation What type of socket for 04' D2 head bolts?

Hey all, so far my head gasket repair job is going well aside from the fact that it's taking longer than I thought it would. I've removed everything up to the head covers. The head bolts look like a torx head to me but I'm not positive. Can anyone tell me what I'll need to remove the bolts? Thanks.

I assume you mean the valve covers, not the heads or head covers.

8mm, 12 pt, deep well, 1/4" drive

The head covers on my golf clubs are slip on; no wrench required.

are you aware of the correct order of putting the bolts back in? have you downloaded the RAVE manual?

Yeah, I actually meant the exhaust manifold bolts. Too much sun yesterday lol. So I tried a 13mm on the exhaust manifold bolts with a breaker bar and stopped just short of rounding the head off. Are they Torx? I do have the manual but I haven't read on the order of the head bolts yet. I don't have the heads off yet. Thanks guys.

12 mm twelve star.

the head bolts are 16mm or 5/8ths. you need a big breaker bar and buy a bolt extractor cause the heads like to round off.

Twelve star is the same as a 12 point socket just for clarification.

So I'm having trouble getting the last two head bolts out which seems very common due to the space constraints. I busted a 3/8" goose neck in the process. I've tried 1/2" sockets/adaptors but they just don't fit in the space between the head and the firewall. Any ideas? Thanks.
