I have a brand new discovery 4 that I bought 2 months ago and yesterday I made the critical mistake of turning the car off whilst it was still in drive and the hand brake (electric!!) was not engaged. The car started to roll down the driveway before some kind of emergency brake kicked in (phew). However, in trying to get back in the car whilst it was rolling, I hit the wiper arm and it went to the full HI position. No dramas, once the car stopped moving I jumped back in, put the car in Park and started it, then tried to turn the wipers off. THEY WOULD NOT TURN OFF!!

Since then, I have tried just about everything and have now reverted to pulling the wiper fuse out of the engine compartment relay box to stop them running, but I'm buggerred if I know what the problem is. My issue is that the nearest dealer is over 100km away and I probably can't get in to see em for at least a week!

Any advice would be mucho appreciado!

You have done about all that can be done while you wait for warranty repairs. I'd keep the info about hitting the wiper to yourself, or they might not honor the warranty.
