Default 2007 Freelander 2 drivers seat not moving properly

Hi all, 2007 Freelander 2 drivers seat doesn't move properly.

The seat moves up and down as it should but the front/back and backrest angle have very limited movement.

It moved all the way to the back and full reclined this afternoon and will now only move about 2/3cm forward and maximum 45 degrees for the back rest.

I have looked under the seat and can hear/see motors moving. I cant see any damp damage (although not entirely sure where to look for that).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Sounds like it needs lubrication. Use lithium grease for best results, comes in a spray can.

I have gone through this before. The seat control module needed reflashing. This is done with SDD,, of course.
I don’t recall the catalyst for this situation.
Cheers!

I've only run into two reasons for a module to have to be reprogrammed.

1. The module had water damage and needed replacement.
2. The owner of the car thought he didn't have to read instructions and was monkeying around with SDD without the adequate power supply hooked up to the car.

This is a common occurrence on Jags too.
