2008 LR2 ACcompressor clutch / bearing asst replacement
Hi guys,
ok has anyone replaced the clutch and bearing asst on an LR2 without pulling the compressor?
My clutch is staring to go the compressor is fine
looking to save money
I think it’s doable but trying to find someone who has actually done it thanks

Which clutch and bearing? I'm assuming you mean the A/C compressor clutch and bearing, yes? If so, that link provided by the other posted won't help you. Pulling the compressor is easy though and you can skip the special tool for reinstalling it in proper alignment - as long as you don't disturb the adjustment collars on the bracket. I just had this whole assembly out 2 weeks ago so my memory of the process is fresh. Just pull back the belt tensioner with a wrench, pin it in position and remove the compressor mounting bolts. From there, you'll have better access to the clutch and bearing.

yes the Ac compressor clutch and bearing also a new pulley comes with the kit.Did you have to remove the filter box and battery to access the tensioner ? Looks like it’s buried under the air pump. Thankyou
Yes. The air box and battery tray both need to come out. I have this down to a 2 minute operation, lol. There is a little hole on the tensioner that you can feel for with your finger that will take a small Allen key or straight pick to hold the tensioner in place once you have it pulled back with a wrench.
