The OAT Dexcool coolant I use in the LR2 is orange. I would not rely on the color since that varies by brand.

I was gentle and was able to change the bleeder hose by this video. Not difficult at all. Discovered that the hose end going into the reservoir tank was broken and had to pry the tip out of the tank connection. No leaks at all on either end now. Thanks to all for the help!!!

I use the label, and everyone that makes the recommended HOAT coolant for European vehicles uses the same color. Orange coolant is usually Prestone OAT, which doesn't have the same silicate protection for aluminum in the engine.

Since modern engines are aluminum, does that mean that HOAT can replace OAT for most cars on the road today?

Where do we find the definitive coolant spec for the Volvo B6324S engine? I searched around but didn't find anything beyond what's in the owner's manual.

@p_gill posted either on this forum or freel2, the coolant he uses and why he researched and chose that brand and type. It's a good read and likely a sound reasoning to use the type he's currently running. I used the LR product two years ago because their dealership prices here to me are very competitive and easy to get. In about a year or two when I do a complete coolant change again, I'll go with the product that p_gill uses.
