Inner cv boot replacement
I did a search and can't find any threads discussing R&R of the inner boot. I also searched the Freel2.com forum in the UK and couldn't find something like that either, though I didn't try all possible search terms I could think of.
The service manual has all of three pages for that job. Remove the half shaft, remove the retaining rings. Remove the joint retaining ring and use a puller to remove the joint. Slide the old boot out. Clean everything carefully. Slip the new boot over the halfshaft and then reinstall the CV joint inner with a new retaining ring, then the outer, and pack the inner joint with the grease supplied with the kit. Secure the new boot with new retaining rings, and reinstall the halfshaft. This is all on pages 380-382 of the digital version of the service manual.
