I just got home and I turned off my vehicle but the Keyfob wouldn't eject. I was able to turn the power on but car wouldn't start, I hear the cd changer clicking on it own and able to shift gears without the engine running. I disconnected the negative battery terminal and then plugged it back. I was able to to start my car again (with engine running) and was able to turn it off and the Keyfob came out Normally.... First time this happened. What would be the cause of this...

 

That can happen if you turn off the car while the transmission is engaged. Happened to me last night, matter of fact. Put the transmission in park, waited a few seconds, turned on the car, turned if off and FOB came out.

 

Yup, keyfob will not come out unless you're in Park.

Also, I had to put my wife's key and charm collection on a fine, short chain. Otherwise it would sometimes jam against the dash when the fob retrcated in, preventing the removal of the fob. WTF couldn't they have just used a remote????
