The classifieds section of the forum here is a good place to start. Also, that cable works with Jaguar vehicles as well, so find a forum for that with a classified section and there's your next target.

Yes was just looking at that (both points). It just made sense to get a 2nd cable considering the wait time/shipping costs. I also wanted to say thank you again!! To all that helped me out. Cant wait to drive the Rover again.

Ok... Ill send him a PM. I will only have one extra but there is more on the way. The international shipping has improved slightly but still 25 days (roughly) unless you spend for express and thats still not 100%.

Note: the owner with the no start problem in that thread solved the problem by re-flashing the CCF. It is possible that the non-factory communication tools corrupted the CCF.
Don't forget to try starting in neutral, I don't think you listed that.

Interesting idea. The data on flash memory should be persisent without power. But it might have gotten corrupted if there was an environmental stress ... temperature, etc.

That is not really the case. There are two kinds of persistent memory, one is the ECU programming that is not supposed to change unless you specifically reprogram the unit, the other is data that is relevant to day to day operation. The ECU programming is in EEPROM, but the that kind of memory is relatively slower. The day to day data is usually in battery-backed persistent memory. If the battery power goes away eventually that memory loses its data.
