That makes sense, you are much more precise than I was! I would have thought that anything related to the starting config would be in the less volatile memory.

Well, no, that's why when you disconnect the battery the ECU has to relearn your driving profile but not the programming for engine control.

So wheere is the best place tp purchase/download a month subscription for JLR SDD V160?

I dont see it anyplace. I found a flow chart that says V130 is good for 2005 - 2012. Is that what I am looking for or?

It will work, SDD hasn't been updated for older models in a long time.

Hello All, So after scanning today with the SDD it pointed to start control unit 100%. Is this 100% solid correct? I wasnt able to perform the LIN test as recommended. Is that needed or should I post the DTC's?

Post the DTC's. There's a bunch of error codes associated with the Start Control Unit. Be careful working with that. To remove it you have to remove the airbag, and you also need to use SDD to upload the data from the existing unit to reprogram a replacement unit.

OK here we go.... I guess the reason I question it is the fact that I still have the flashing alarm led with the FOB engaged. Does the immoblizer give the same symptoms? I am searching for this specific symptom but...
