LR2 Rear Differential Repair - for impacted owners
This might help. Here is a link to a post I made showing my original diff. You could compare with your current one to see if there are any differences, but not sure how different the replacement unit looks.

I just noticed that my pics where on my old isp showing the new rear. I'll have to upload them again somewhere. It's pretty easy to see the difference the new differential is held together by studs instead of bolts. Hopefully that's standard so that you can easily tell.
Oh and If you're approaching 90k throw a torx driver in your car for the steering column lock that will fail on you soon leaving you stranded. It's just two bolts under the column to remove the cover then you can give it a couple whacks with something to free it up. Should get you home.
Here are pics of the new rear and steering lock.
I do not. I didn't even realize that the LR2 had a Haldex system. I'm used to changing the fluid and filter in a Haldex ever 10-20k miles on my old Audi. I've only looked into things on the LR2 that have failed. Battery, Fan, Rear, Steering lock and adding the trailer hitch module.
