I had to purchase a new Key FOB for my wife's 2008 LR2. Is there anyone with any Programming knowledge for this model Key FOB? Or is the only option to take it to the dealer and have them program it? It's extremely pricey! (Almost $300)

Doesn't sound right ... are you sure the price the dealer quoted you ($300) is only the programming service? I got a quote from my LR dealer last year and I was told that a replacement OEM key fob would cost $262 plus $90 to program it to the vehicle.
