I wouldn't be doing that. To "reset" the vehicle just disconnect the battery... I think you did this to yourselves...
I can't speak for flyer08, but I my GAP IID BT tool was purchased a few months ago, registered with GAP, locked to my 2012 LR2 3.2L and updated per instructions.
Prior to clearing adaptions, I had used it many times to read faults and clear them, never had a problem until I learned that after cleaning the MAF sensor, it is good to clear adaptions. Thinking that this might be the problem, I cleared adaptions and then the car would not start.

I had done many hard resets, including trying a different battery before trying to clear adaptions.

Did you start the LR2 after cleaning the MAF sensor and prior to clearing adaptions?

I really don't see how cleaning a MAF sensor would stop the LR2 from running. Maybe it can... IDK.

No. Which was why I wasn't sure, at first, whether the MAF cleaning or the resetting adaptations had caused the no start condition.
The uncertainty about the cause of the no start made me buy a new MAF sensor in case I had damaged the old MAF while cleaning it.
I replaced the MAF and it still wouldnt start, then I knew it was the GAP IID unit that caused the no start.
On the bright side, after the mechanic reprogrammed the BCU and I got the car back, I have driven it over 150 miles over five days, and the lean state error codes havent returned.
So, assuming the lean state fail codes don't return in the next week or so, the "no start" situation may have ironically led me to fix my problem which was a bad MAF.
