Today for the 2nd time my truck truck just all of a sudden stalls- al power gone..... The last time it happened a month ago, at a traffic light, this time going slow in a parking garage- total loss of power, power steering & dash lit up like Christmas tree. Turned off, put in park, restarted & no problem. Anyone else have this happen. I had just filled the tank, any relation??

 

Any CEL after? If so, can you give us the error codes?

Could be simple like bad gas/water in tank, bad MAF sensor/PCV valve.

I had a similar stalling issue on our Jetta - but it was a bad crank position sensor.

Error codes will help us help you.

 

What engine? I had similar problems with my V6 4.0L. Engine would stumble and try to die leaving the gas pumps. Replaced the EGR valve. Problem gone.
