Default 2005 LR3 ICarSoft V2 won't read codes.. suggestions?

Hi Guys... I have a 2005 Lr3 with the Dash lights lit up like a xmas tree. I've been chasing the typical issues (Brake Switch, Tail Lights, red wire in passenger floor sil, etc).

I bought a ICarsoft V2.0 specifically for Land Rovers / Jags to read codes. It powers on and hit "Diagnose" and it tries to go throughthe progression to reads the codes but
get failures. Then a message pops up "connection failure.. Please make sure your vehicle is OBDII compatible and the scanner is connected".

I tried the scanner on my 2003 GM and it read the codes just fine. So I am thinking there is something going on with the LR3 that is preventing the scanner from connecting.

Any ideas what could prevent the scanner from connecting to the system? I tried killing the engine and disconnecting and reconnecting and cranking several times.

Background... 2005 LR3... 74,000 miles... ABS Light, Check engine light, Parking Brake light, Brake light, Traction control light, HDC failure, and transmission failure message. Also... suspension failure and
lowered to lowest level. Cranks... idles fine... will shift to reverse and forward and move (speed limited it feels).

I've changed Tail lights, Brake Switch, checked fuses, changed TCM (used but good TCM used), checked wiring in both floor sils, changed battery, checked for Alternator charge when running (14.1 volts)...
All lights still on... no change

Any ideas why no codes would be read? I;ve heard the ICarsoft V2.0 for Land Rovers will ready 2005 LR3 codes.

Thoughts?

Colby

Default Codes Now read

Ok guys... Look like the iCarSoft LR2 tool has an older version and a newer version. The newer version (borrowed from a friend that got rid of his LR3) read the codes just fine.

I was able to read codes... erase them all... then recrank and see what codes reappeared.

Here is what reappeared:

V0122 (Lost communication with the Vehicle Dynamic control module) and V0121 (Lost communication with the Engine control/Powertrain Module).

Any suggestions for next steps? Are these common codes? I'm going to do some searching on what these codes could be.

I think first you'd want to search for U0122 and U0121 codes, I could not find any V codes in the documentation, I am experiencing some CAN BUS communication errors also but have not resolved them yet...
