2006 LR3 starting issues

Perhaps, but I have yet to see it mentioned on forums or re: diag, only mentioned on parts websites.
FWIW my GFs diesel jeep (2.8 turbo, '05.. Fairly modern design) has a MAP sensor and it gets NASTY thanks to tons of erg/recirculating pcv and other oil vapors through intake system. Causes lots of boost and other engine problems but it is the primary air/fuel sensor as there is no vacuum in a diesel thus no MAF sensor (hers has a MAF technically but it's only used for EGR and emissions).
Sounds like the AJ 4.4 uses as cross correction against MAF, but again I've heard zero mention of it.

Update: I tried cleaning the EGR valve which didn't help the issue, so I ended up replacing it. Surprisingly, it seems to have fixed the problem. Took all of 30 minutes and $200. I replaced it last Saturday and have had no problems since (and I would have had problems by now). Just wanted to post an update in case anyone in the future has a similar issue.
