Default Amber Brake light and HDC Suspension Fault

All,

I just took my '08 in for new front tie rods and rear brakes at a small shop and when I picked the car up the amber brake light and HDC suspension faults lights came on. And then the car tipping light came on. Is there something they could have done to cause this to happen. I find the timing too hard to think they are unrelated. I did have them replace the rear brake sensors with cheap aftermarket ones, could that be the culprit?

Thanks

Yes should have gone OEM for sensor. Computer hates weird components.

They may have tapped a few other sensors/wires. HDC fault can be triggered by a suspension fault, or low voltage. I am guessing brake shop messed up some wires around brake areas.

Did you get an alignment? Check your steering angle. My truck got new tires and a alignment but the steering angle calibration was off by 10 degrees.

I agree with mx468. Sounds like steering angle calibration is slightly off and needs to be recalibrated. Tie rods usually means an alignment needs to be performed.

I've used aftermarket pad sensors many times without an issue, would be surprised if this is the case.

Since I cut a wear sensor open just yesterday I should amend my statement to agree with the others, it is probably not the sensor.
