Default Apple Play in LR3?

My daughter is asking for apple car play for Xmas for her LR3. Is that even something that Santa makes? Can an LR3 radio be updated with something more modern without a lot of fuss?

Not Apple car play. There is a Bluetooth module that replaces the aux in panel behind the center console.

Not on the stock stereo you would have to go aftermarket.

Bluetooth module is your best bet.

I am running a Amazon Echo Auto cheap and really good for hands free phone calls, music and basic function control on the phone

That system looks pretty sweet!

I would be sad to lose the 4x4 info . . . but would likely get over it quickly!

Yeah, if it was not for loosing onboard NAV/Diagnostics/4x4 info I would get this too. Its not terribly expensive compared to other high end head units. But I need my NAV because of the places I go. If it could live along side, that would be coo.
