CAN signal to turn on radio missing, and P0313 Misfire when low on fuel.
Hello,
Issue #1: I am intermittenly loosing CAN signal for radio to turn on. I have an aftermarket radio, original radio would also shut off randomly. If i bypass my CAN decoder and directly power ACC cable on aftermarket radio it turns on. The CAN signal for radio to turn on came back when i disconnected battery for 20 minutes. I can easily fix this bypassing the can decoder, but i would like to have it work normally. Car had water in carpets, i have since fixed it. I am guessing corroded connections under the carpet. Any information on what plugs/connections to clean/inspect?
Issue #2: When fuel is low i get random misfires. Fuel pressure seems "okay" but dont have a point of reference for what is good, i could instead of fill up, check pressure to just drop the fuel tank shortly. Anyone had this issue? I am guessing something is broken/loose in the fuel pump pickup, maybe its gasping some air once tank gets low.
2005 LR3 225k miles.
Made a new thread because i guess the main thread is too long and hard to follow up with.
These are the last two issues i have with my land rover. Hope to fix this week and register her soon.

1 - Sounds like a bad decoder. Although I am confused as to why you have a CAN decoder, for steering controls I assume? Because any aftermarket radio can take the power-on from the accessory relay power source.
2- Fuel should be 65psi. Sounds like you are probably just too low on fuel. You may have faulty sending units. The fuel pickup is the bottom of the pump at the primary filter sock which sits in a swirl pot that is constantly filled by both the electric pump and two jet/venturi pumps.

As for the fuel you think maybe tank is emptier than the sensor it says it is. It starts misfiring like right as the light turn on. I will put about 5 gallons tomorrow and check fuel pressure.
these are thankfully not huge issues and it’s just me ironing out the last little bugs

Yeah. I would guess that fuel levels are off. This can happen because there are two sending unit and you can have one bad one that can really mess up the averaging of both and throw things off. One is attached to the fuel pump swirl pot. The other is sorta hard to replace as it is deeper in the tank. It is not uncommon to have issues with them.
At least you have a 2005 so you probably have a valve to test pressure on the fuel rail. My 2006 does not have that and for fuel testing I have to disconnect a line in front of the tank and install a gauge.
