Default CJB, BCM, Central Fuse box. Interchangeable terms

For all of you N00Bs (beginners) out there. I would like to think I am slightly above N00B status, so wanted to share this info.

While talking to a tech about an ongoing issue with my LR3, since he probably will be fixing a coolant issue on my LR4 while my LR3 is in my shop, he mentioned me checking my BCM (Body Control Module) as I mentioned I already pulled the CJB (Central Junction Box), took it apart, and cleaned it really well. I guess we were talking past each other because I started researching if there was yet another module I needed to check out.

It seems the CJB=BCM=Central Fuse Box

So if I am right, when looking at posts or talking to others, CJB=BCM=CFB

If I have that correct, then keep this in mind.

Damn I love this $%i+

Yes and no. The CJB is on itself not so much a module as literally the central junction box/fuse box that kinda ties all the crap in the truck together. The BCM is a module onto itself that happens to be built-into the CJB and can be flashed separately and get software updates. Some call the BCM the GEM module, a term from older Rover. But GEM (General Electric module) is not the correct term. Anyway, my guess is they are integrated because pretty much all configurations and options "point back" to the CJB and BCM so they are likely configured as one pair on the production line.
