I noticed something different in the last couple of days that has be baffled... at first, when I would hit the lock button on the remote, the lights would flash 3 times slowly to let me know it was secure. In the last couple of days, when I've hit the button, it will either honk the horn and then flash the lights or just honk the horn. The truck still locks and arms the alarm in each scenario but I can't figure out why it changed...

It's because one of the doors or (most likely) the bonnet is not closed all the way.

 

The lights are all going out on the interior when locked... is this a safety to not run the battery down?

 

I suppose if it is the hood, the interior lights would not be triggered. I have had issues with the hood staying completely latched... is this related to the known hood latch mechanism failure? Does it cause the hood to become unlatched? Does the ghetto fix to the latch mechanism prevent this?

 

Got home from work this morning and sure enough, the hood was popped on the right side... as soon as I pushed and latched it, the lights flashed three times.
