Drivers Seat has play in it
On my 2006 LR3 HSE, The drivers seat has some play in it. Whenever I accelerate or brake or even reposition my **** there is a bit of movement (Play) in the seat somewhere.
I drove a few used LR3's before buying this one and they all had a loose feeling in the drivers seat. I had the dealer fix mine while it was under warranty last year and the repair order said "Remove seat & runner & Remove seat fore aft motor & refit drive cable so seat won't move"
The LR3 is not under warranty anymore and I want to try to fix it myself but am not sure if it just needs the same thing again or if there are parts involved.
Has anyone had experience with this issue?

Realize this thread is six years old but my LR3 has the same issue so thought I'd resurrect it. It's not much but when accelerating and sometimes when stopping the seat moves slightly. It may not be a big deal but really irritates me!!
This is a common issue. There is a PDF on how to fix it, it involves changing the alignment of the tracks slightly to take up slack in the system. I have them printed out, but can't remember where I picked them up. Let me see if I can find them.
Edit:
Halfway down in post #22 should be the PDF with how to fix it.
