Default Few questions

Just got a lr3. I'm really enjoying it.

The closest land rover dealer/shop is 2 hrs away. So was wondering if a ford dealer can do all the maintenance & checks on it ?
I need oil changed. Could do myself, but don't u have to have computer to reset car computer ? Can ford do this ?

Is it reg oil or synthetic ?

I got 2 faults showing. One is HDc system fault not available. Is it ok to do normal driving ?

& it said reduced engine performance. What's this mean ?

Thanks for info

What about resetting computer?

Changing oil myself is fine. But can ford service other stuff. Or do I just set up date to travel to Dallas

Anyone can do the maintenance. Stick with the oil land rover says. The ford store should have the filter in stock regardless of motor so it won't be that expensive. The HDC is probably an issue with the battery especially if its always at startup. You may need a new battery. Ford might have that one to. You can ask them to check your battery to see if needs replacement. The question isn't if ford can service it, its if they have the machine that can read all the codes. Depending on the year they probably can't reset the maintance light.

Ok. Yea that's what meant. If ford would have the machine. I know it's a ford motor right ?
It's a 2005. V8.

Man I hope it's just the battery. I was worried it could be something serious.

Yest I did look and notice the terminal was loose. And I put on & tightened it up. No longer says engine reduced poer Stills says HDc problem. & every few days. It'll say MSG like the parking break is on when its not

its not a ford motor, its a land rover jag motor. The electronics are all land rover. You need a different machine to read it.
