What check did he do on the alternator? It may not be charging enough
Sounds like classic non charging battery with all of those warning lights. Also check the ground cable from the battery to the fender. If alternator is good, and the cable is bad, it will run until the charged battery runs down.

Let us know the outcome, it could help someone else searching the forum for the same issues

General Disclaimer: I could be wrong.

OK. so if the alternator is good, and the battery you put in and charge it up over night is good, then the car dies after running for a while, your battery is not charging and you are draining it down while you drive.

In fact , do this:

1. Remove battery.
2. Place on charger overnight.
3. Remove ground cable lug behind where the battery mounts
4. Inspect ground cable. Look for corrosion on outside of insulation
5. Bend each inch of the cable a little and if one part of the cable is easier to bend than other parts of the cable.
6. Inspect both batter terminal and make sure e will tighten up on battery posts.
7. Coat battery posts, cable terminals, and ground terminal with dielectric grease to help insure proper electrical connection.
8 Re assemble in reverse order and see how long you can drive before it dies.

Hope this helps

Jeff
