Just look at it, if the guard if the newer style it will tuck under the connectors so they don't lay completely on the metal "horn" extension. The older ones did not have that flare out that tucked in.

I don't recall the wires going anywhere near the frame horn. They run along the frame rail and then just disappear, I thought. I haven't really traced them along the longitudinal axis, though. I can look later.

See in this link. I have the frame horn thing removed in the pics, but you can see where is mounts. Apparently in very early LR3 the harnesses can lay/hang on the the metal and wear causing issues. Its not a common thing, but there are a couple threads on other forums about the issue. So it was one of the things I looked for when I was isolating my front valve block fault.

https://landroverforums.com/forum/lr...t-fixed-98514/

And here is the thread that pointed to my fault not being the actual valve block itself being the problem. Turns out that was correct, but as I say in the link above it was some other wire along the line.

Thanks for the follow-up, I remember that thread. Looks like it's a lot further aft than I was thinking of. I should trace my wires all the way down and see how they interact with my rock sliders, anyway.
