My confusion comes from the OP not saying that the light on the dash comes on when the grinding noise occurs.

but after re reading his complaint, it does sound like DSC.

My truck was acting up a couple of months ago when driving moderately on up and down, twisty secondary roads. Found out shortly there after that my suspension bushings were shot causing a lot of play and probably was what caused the trucks sensors to overreact to the condition and apply the abs and to cut power.


Haven't had a chance to drive the same road since I got the suspension straightened out but I'm almost positive that was my reason.


Try checking your rear suspension bushing for play... you'll need to get it on a hoist and use a long prybar to induce the movement but you will easily see the control arm moving laterally. There should be none but a few millimeters paly would be normal.... mine was over half an inch play.
