Default How to get the new car pep feel?

Ok my truck just hit 130,000 miles and I've noticed when going uphill its not as peppy as it used to be. I just changed my engine oil, tranny oil 10,000 miles ago, both diffs 3,000 miles ago, transfer case oil about 9,000 miles ago, new battery last year, power steering fluid 5500 miles ago, would changing my plugs be the next obvious thing to do? If so, whats the verdict on ngks laser iridium oem plugs(IFR5N10)? Are there any better ones to use. Suggestions? Thanks.

I'm in the process of sorting this out as well. Be sure the clean that engine air filter. I recently cleaned the MAF sensor, and plan to replace the oxygen sensors in the exhaust. Ran 3 cans of BG44K through it one tank at a time, reset the transmission adaptations, and things are actually improving. After the last can of BG44K. At this stage, drive it like you stole it a little bit, to blow the carbon out.

I plan to start adding Techron from Cosco. Plan this just before oil change time. The other thing that would be a worthwhile adventure would be to do a BG fuel / Air Induction service, be sure the throttle body is clean.

I think I'm up about 1mpg, a little more peppy.

Those a few things that come to mind in no particular order.

When I was at 85K the a throttle body cleaning got me +2mpg and some more pep back. I cleaned it again at 105k when doing the t-stat housing and it was starting to look gummed up. I think the crankcase breather hose comes back in right before the throttle body and causes this mess.

If you're going to do an air induction or fuel injector cleaning service, make sure to do it before you change your spark plugs. Those cleaners are apparently quite harsh and can erode your plug electrodes. The best order IMHO would be induction service followed by injector service (can do them more or less at the same time), followed by BG44k fuel system treatment, clean MAF sensor (plus air filter if you need to), change spark plugs, reset engine adaptation values (if you are able).
