Default Intermittent Warning Lights

I understand this could be ANYTHING but I figured it was worth the ask. I purchased the truck and it has an airbag light. Fair enough, I know what that is. I took it for an oil change and when it was done the ABS, Brake, and DSC light was one which renders special programs useless. I didn't blame the oil change place because they would have denied anything anyway. I plugged in my GAP tool and there's no faults related to that. I cleared faults to no avail. I plug in my scangauge and it goes away. Great! I take the truck to get 2 tires installed. I pick it up, the lights are back on. Clearly, this seems to be related to services but why? I have coil spring conversion w/ the AB EAS box so I don't think suspension is causing the issues on the lift.

Check your standby, after settling for a while, and running voltages. It could be a faulty brake switch, but that typically will toss a code up. And really, when you post "no faults related to that", well that is not of any help unless there are absolute no codes at all. Because the systems are well integrated, so a fault in one place can disable other systems. Basically if the air ride (yes I know you dont have it) fails, then terrain response is taken out too. So if there are any codes, post em just to see if they could be the cause.

I would clear and do a hard reset. Just pull the main battery for 10 minutes. Your issue could be related to the Vehicle Dynamic fault, which is sorta like a gateway to the Terrain system maybe. And it is getting tripped up by the rear diff, which you may actually have a serious issue you dot want to ignore.

So first, clear faults and reset. See what happens. If you get the faults again you can try an experiment and IF YOUR BATTERY IS GOOD then you can edit the CFF to remove your rear locking diff. And see if that helps. If it does, the issues is your rear diff which is throwing all sorts of issues - if you had air ride, then it would probably be dropping to access hight on you also.

Have you resolved this issue yet? I’m having similar issues… I’ve also had very similar coeds.

After multiple repairs throughout the vehicle. These are my most recent codes. My airbag light was due to the passenger side seat belt buckle… and a bad clock spring. Got both from eBay and fixed that light. I fixed the trans temp issue. A rodent chewed a wire. Got that fixed now new transmission or differential issues… the saga continues, see below. Wonder if they're lifting the truck with the by the rails when they do work.

If the wheels aren't supported the suspension gets confused and unhappy because of the bags being stretched.

Since you have a GAP tool, go through the suspension calibration (pretty simple, just follow the directions on their site).

Lifting the truck would not matter unless there are extension rods installed. The suspension is limited, physically, within the range of the sensors. Your actor fault will cause tons of other faults. But it looks like you have a ground issue, alternator issue, both or some bad wiring.

I reached out to GAP. They agreed to the update for the rear diff and Amp. I downloaded the updates but have not completed them yet. I do not support the suspension when lifting and working on the vehicle. I assume I have rods based on the look of the rods installed. I have not installed any myself. I bought this disco3 two years go and have been fixing it ever sense. I just replaced my alternator three weeks ago. The tabs on the + cable that attaches to the alternator were missing. Kinda worries me. My running voltage is around 13.2-13.8 majority of the day. Starting voltage has been around 14.4. I was thinking I have a bad ground too. I definitely had/have bad wiring. Moisture issues that i hopefully fixed last year… new windshield cowl, new windshield, new sunroof drain tubes, front only. I’ve repaired some corroded wires in the passenger side foot well.

I’m hopeful that when I run the Update for the diff, this problem will be solved… not holding my breath though. I’ve always thought it is a wire issue. Every time I unplug something electrical. I take some dielectric grease and put it on the plugs. With hope to prevent any future issues due to moisture and oxygen on these electrical items.
