I finally got around to installing my poly bushings. Got it fairly close to the original alignment putting it back together -- the alignment shop didn't have to do much .

@abran -- so far no "creaking" sounds. I did do some googling on lube or no lube when installing. The consensus of the threads/discussions stated to use "a lil bit" of lube.

Lube was defined as: silicone based synthetic waterproof grease with multiple mentions of NOT to use a petroleum based grease.

I used a silicone spray lube.

btw, thanks for the 18" rims! They've been put to good use.

My tesearch I n bushing lube showed companies like energy suspension wants you to use thier lube or blue marine grease, i used marine grease

​​​​on inside and outside of bushings, still no creaks, i also used neversieze on the bolt shafts, dont use on the nuts they wont stay tite

 

New to me 2011 LR4 with 133,000km (about 82,000 miles) drives great, is smooth and quiet, passed Safety, bought a used car warranty.

300km in I notice a small oil puddle on the drive, looked underneath, a small drip from the lower control arm rear bushing driver side. No clunking though. Thinking some condensate is coming down and getting dirty but the liquid is oily. Check the forum, leaking hydraulic bushing. The car is in the shop today for a new LCA. Nervous though as I hate the idea of an independent trying to do this without my supervision. But it's under warranty I suppose.

The oil leak is almost gone, so I'm guessing the bushing is drained enough. If you miss this and it rains, you might miss it. I got lucky I guess.

LR4 is amazing though compared to my trusty old D2. Totally different vehicle.
