...are the 5-spokers the same rims that came on the V6 models?

If you're asking me, I do not know.

Aww man, this is exactly what I've been looking to do. I've been looking for 5 spoke 18" wheels for off-roading. Where did you get them? And yes, they were the stock wheels on the V6 models.

I will say I spent way too much time on prep work-- just because I'm OCD and I would have hated myself if I had to start over because of a silly mistake. Unfortunately, I became extremely impatient on the 4th or 5th coat, which caused SLIGHT overspray and drip on one of the driver side spokes. I asked a buddy if he noticed anything and of course only I noticed-- but still. STAY PATIENT, it will turn out fine. Just don't rush.

I sprayed it this morning with Armor-all Extreme Wheel & Tire Shine and cleaned off any brake dust that may have dried on overnight with the dip. I still have a can left that I will use for touch ups. I noticed around my 6 spokes, the lip is very sharp and due to the plastidip drying and shrinking overnight, I need to touch up the corners. Again, only I noticed (haha) thanks again LRForum!!

Like the way your wheels turned out. I'm thinking of doing the same for my 10 spoke ones. Did you put a gloss coat on over the black? Also, look on ebay for smoke side marker lights. I changed the orange ones for the smoke ones and with the tinted windows, etc. I think it looks better.

Thanks! I appreciate it. No, I didn't put a gloss coat on over the black. However, in hindsight it probably would have been a great idea. I don't wash the truck every week - so with the heat and so much sun, it tends to look extremely flat at times.

A gloss coat or two would have been a good investment (maybe I'll peel it and respray when fall hits). When I do wash the truck, I (lightly) use armor all on a microfiber cloth, and wipe the wheels to keep it this level of shine again. All in all, I don't think you can beat the look for $28 and a six pack of your favorite beer lol I'll check out ebay also! thanks for the heads up

Armor All? Lightly wiping down the wheels?

Ha....I'm lucky if I take the pressure washer to my rig every couple months. As for my wheels, the rock rash pretty much is the only decoration they get.

Different strokes and all that....My truck is a trail rig. She'll never get the show and shine thing but looks pretty good pulling a Captain Morgan.

NICE! haha. Trust me, if that were an option for where I am in VA, mine would certainly be the same. There's just not many places to go that I've learned of yet. I've only "shined" her up twice, both times which involved my girlfriend and visiting her parents lol
