Default LR3 - C1A09-1C Pressure Sensor Signal / out of range - FIXED

Had an issue at the tail end of my last outing. Suspension was stuck at normal heigh only which is a lot better than bump stops! No prior random codes, just flat out stopped working. I could mostly adjust with the the GAP tool if needed. I had my doubts that the sensor was the actual issue, but I installed a new OEM one anyway. I was right, not the issue. I knew about the wire harness issue in the wheel well so I dug further. Bingo! If you have an early model, remove the frame horn extension, it makes this job easier. I think I had an issue here one before or at least suspected an issue and found none in the wiring. So this repair was familiar to me.

As you can see, the bright blue color of corroded copper stood out. After flushing with cleaner there was nothing left in that spot. Funny how like others is seems to almost always be the one wire for the pressure sensor that gets damaged. This location is the driver side rear of the wheel well in NA vehicles. Just above the Fram horn as mentioned. The frame horn is attached with three 15mm bolts then lifted up and out to unhook from the main frame.

Cut out the section of wire and added new. Soldered then coated lightly with liquid electrical tape before putting heat shrink on. I found this combo makes for a pretty good water proof seal, heat shrink alone is never enough.
