I'd like to share one more thread here in case it helps someone else. I experienced this exact issue on replacing the automatic parking brake on my lr3. I used a cheap aftermarket one from Amazon. Immediately after replacing I noticed the same behavior of car not starting and four ways on along with no connection via scan tool. I ended up taking out the circuit board from the old electronic parking brake and replacing it in the new electronic parking brake and connecting it to the new motor and everything returned to normal. So if you have recently replaced your parking brake and notice the same issue I would start there first. Hopefully this helps someone.
