I did not know there was a single CD disc version! Mine has the 6 disc changer built in. That’s probably where the difference is.

Problem solved!

Picked up a used amp and swapped it in 10 minutes.

Everything works 100% now.

Just some follow up.

My battery died as it appears to be an old battery. The SoH of the battery was 33%. I jump started the vehicle, and then the stereo stopped working. No sound again 🤬

I was not happy 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I previously had a host of errors (prior to amp issue) and recalled the brake switch causing all sorts of gremlins when it fails. I replaced the brake switch with a new switch from the dealer for $40 CDN and the stereo works wonderfully again!

The errors are all gone (transmission, hdc, specialty programs, etc.) 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
