Hi all, I’ve been having transfer case issues and traced it to a corroded TCCM. I purchased a used TCCM on eBay. It was clean and free of any corrosion. I cleaned the connectors on the firewall and plugged in the unit. However, now the truck won’t start. Turning the key, the flashers come on, the door locks cycle, and the warning lights on the dash illuminate. I did note that the transfer case switch no longer flashes and that the transfer case codes have disappeared from the fault list on the GAP tool. Someone mentioned that I have to have a LR shop/mechanic sync the module to the truck. Is there any way to do this with the GAP tool?
I faced similar issue without being able to start, locks cycling and all the warning lights. While I cannot recall the exact order of things as so many attempts were made, aim to clear what faults you can with the Gap. There is a calibration that will need to be done on transfer case clutch and range sensor. Believe the key should be in the ON position. I'm not near my tool to pull up which menu the calibrations were under. May be as simple as in the Calibration menu but may also be a bit further buried.
...only time I've experienced something like that is when I plugged in my GAP tool with the engine running and the battery a bit weakened. I've done this on two different LR3s though, so I don't think it was a coincidence. Sounds a bit different than your experience, but I'd always start with the battery.
