Default messsge Special programs not available

Ok before I give in and have it diagnosed by LR can anyone offer any info on where to look for the cause of this error ? Special Programs not available. It’s the only error showing up and is always there. I checked the battery it’s good also load checked it. Brake lights all good
I did a complete brake job about a month ago and also replaced the brake wear sensors.

A hard reset involves connecting the two cables for a few minutes.

Disconnect both and then touch them together!!

You will likely need a length of wire or cable. I've never actually done this, but if I were to do so, I'd use a jumper cable

You need to read the codes. It’s all guessing if not.

A common problem is corrosion on the transfer case module connector pins. If you need to start guessing without swapping parts that is the first place to start.

Remove the battery, first module behind it. Second is the PCM or engine control module
