LR tech replaced the transfer case module it’s located on the firewall behind the battery however he also ran a new ground from the transfer case module to ground I have a gut feeling this was the problem all along
Hope this helps

Do you have an idea how to overlay the wire for the ground ? I just check my tc module and i opened it up, i examined carefully it is clean no burns or tart or corrosion. I am trying to follow your advise viking1 that the problem could be only in getting a new ground. But i have no idea how to do that. Sorry for my ignorance.

Default all terrain control dead

This problem for my LR3 was resolved by a Land Rover Tech. But not before some trial and error. First they told me it was a bad console control. it proved not to be the case as he had a spare which did the same thing. he ended up resolving the issue by running a separate ground from the transfer case module on the left side of the fire wall to a grounding post nearby. Its been good ever since. a preventable note never leave your skylight open during a rainstorm you will come back to a real mess and tough clean up and some down the road corrosion issues such as malfunctioning terrain controls.
