New LED driving lights
#5
I got the lights off of ebay. 80mm angel eyes. Took about two weeks to get them. Hooked them to an empty fuse in the engine bay with a piggy back fuse. The lights automatically come on when engine is running. They are on the inside of the foglights and held there by hot glue from glue gun. The original how to is located at disco3.co.uk's website under running lights.

@Savannah: Yes indeed, they look intense because you were looking AT them, not sitting behind them. They make great "indicator lights" meaning lights that you look at (turn signals, marker lights, etc) but I just don't know that I like them used for illuminating other objects (like the road).
I used to work aircraft lighting, and although the 787 uses LEDs for the interior area lights, I didn't like it. It was okay for "general" area lighting that is really diffuse and where you can put a TON of sources into the mix...and on an airplane and in an office there is room to dissipate the heat (at the junction on the PC board, not the face of the LED) but for purpose-lighting like headlamps or foglights, I'm more a fan of the Xenon arc-lamp technology. Also, the Incandescents (like our LR3 "filler" lamps) get hot at the filament so they melt ice and make condensation evaporate.
Not to **** in your Cornflakes, mx468, I'm sure they look sweet.
