Odd issues, maybe parking brake actuator

I only started my vehicle one morning and it started to make a terrible noise when I deactivated it and then the warning light on the dash came on.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate your time to send me an answer; I'm going to try to get a used one.

It just needs adjustment. You can disable it if you are no using it by pulling the LARGE fuse in the engine bay. Its a square fuse, not a blade fuse. Also you may want to manually disengage it. There is a cable that gets pulled in the center console. That releases it. But what must be done is a proper parking brake service and adjustment. Plenty of write-ups on there if you search. Doubt you need a new module.
