Good morning folks, question to the group regarding Oil Cooler mounting bolts for '06 LR3. Never seen a double threaded bolt before and curious what is the purpose. Approx 4" overall 1st 2"'(+/-) is standard looking fine threads, then a 1" space and the last 1" is a very coarse thread. Any info helpful thx

 

The three mounting bolts go in one way and only the last 1 or so threads in, so not sure why it would matter?

 

I would guess they’ve been over torqued and stretched. If you find the part number for those, let me know.
