Oil Pressure Light On
08 LR3 SE 4.4L 195k miles. At a red light the other day sitting idle and I saw the oil pressure light come on the dash. It was on for maybe a second then went off again, blinked one more time then turned off. I pulled over, shut down, checked oil and oil level was fine. Drove home no issues. Couple days later I'm driving home at 60mph and the oil pressure light comes on and stays on for a few seconds. I pull over and haven't driven it since. In the driveway it will idle and no oil pressure light comes on.
Going to pull the actual oil pressure once I get to harbor freight, but in the mean time I can't find many threads related to oil pressure issues on the LR3. Anyone have any experience or insight with this problem? Thanks!

Did you ever find out the issue? I have a 2008 Range Rover Sport and have the exact same thing you're describing, even with the washer fluid.
I am going to begin this evening with an oil pressure gage and see if that indicates and actual drop in pressure. I just thought it was weird that within a few days both the oil pressure light was intermittent and the washer fluid level says low even though it is topped up.
I also checked my battery and it is something like 12.3v when off and 14.something when the car is running.
Thanks agin!

No, loss of oil pressure just didn't make sense coupled with the washer fluid light. Two years later it's still running like a top!
@shmiffie yeah it was just the instrument cluster. I sent it out to get repaired/rebuilt by someone on eBay. I think it was $350 or so. Oil pressure light has been off since!
I'll see if I can find a similar service because I have the oil light off and on randomly, washer fluid randomly saying it is low and TPMS light (which I know could be a bad sensor).
