Default Plastic cover of key has worn through..

Hi plastic cover of key has worn through..
LR3SE 2006
are there any OEM quality ones I can find without going to dealer?
Is it easy to switch insides over?

get a new case off of ebay, some have the Land Rover logo, some don't, ask before you buy it is makes a difference to you. It did to me and since they were about the same price, I got the one with the logo. It is a matter of cutting the old case open, swapping the insides and installing in the new case. Seal the new case with some super glue and you are good to go. Just be careful when cutting open the old case, proceed slowly and carefully, don't cut into the board on the inside.

Did the same and can't tell the difference.

I used a flathead screwdriver to pry open the old one.

Yeah, the eBay ones are just fine, They have internal rubber seals to make them waterproof like the OEM fob. I have a bunch of them as spares since some day they will be hard to come by.

Thank you..only the plastic case changes the key and button stay intact..yes?

Yup, you just swap the electronics and key into the be plastic case.
