Default Power Steering Hose keeps disconnecting at top

Hi.Thanks again for your help.
LR3 SE V8 4.4.
The Steering Fluid just disconnected at the top connection (not at steering rack..I think) for the second time in 3 weeks and all the fluid on the floor.
The hose was changed early last winter.
I didn't buy the part but always ask for OEM.
Maybe mechanic was sent a non OEM part for this to be happening?
Any thoughts on why this usually keeps happening?
In 3 weeks it's been to mechanic with this visit 4 times. One for leaking coolant (tightened hoses) Loss of all steering fluid( reattached top of hose) Coolant leak still (changed Water Pump) now loss of steering fluid again am guessing it's at the top again.but don't know yet.

Need a better description than that. There is more than one PS hose. When you say at top, I tend to think at the reservoir?

These are all the hoses, can you point out where it comes off? Green connect to reservoir tank. Red connect to the rack itself. Blue connect to the pump, left one being high pressure output to the rack with the right one being "suction", which is fluid being pulled from the reservoir.

Thanks Dakota he says it's the return hose that's causing trouble. He has ordered it. Boy I think we had better somehow put together some $ to get a spare car. This has got it stuck home a little too often : )

Te return hose is just clamped on each end. Sounds like a hose clamp is missing. The return hose is part of the cooler, so its a very expensive part to replace.

The only pressure hose is from pump to rack, after that the pressure drops. But I am sure he just means the connection of hard lines here in yellow. Odd, that joint is sold and should not be an issue really. That joint just snaps together like a fuel line/AC line with a spring clip. Once snapped together they are impossible to separate without the right tool or technique. Also attached a better diagram that shows how the lines all hook up, although it is for RHD. Keep us updated.

Hi Dakota,
He ordered the hose (LR057262) and that turned out
not to be the hose !!! He says the hose #9 on your first diagram is the hose.
Do you have a Part number for #9 on your diagram ?
He says it's not a pressure hose.its the one to the Cooler.
MISTAKE AGAIN.
His mechanic didn't realize it was a snap in connection. Thank you you telling me I told him and walla. That was the hose horray : )
Thank you Dakota
