Thanks @huom_wa.

the truth is, I’ve never actually changed one... but I did stay at a Holiday Inn express last night!

All good, lots of bogus info out there.

So I scoped out the "route in" tonight. Seems the front two bolts are ok. The back drivers side is doable, but the other side at the back - forget it. How the heck am I supposed to reach that? I can get my fingers on it, but positioning a socket on it even with a U-joint is almost impossible. Better if the exhaust or the drive shaft wasn't there, but I'm not removing those.

Is there a best practice here to get those?

Again - I've seen a post whereby access to the back bolts was through the spare tire well and then removing the evaporator canister (?). Mine bolts on that are solidly rusted in so I don't know if I should even attempting a Dremel on that and then replacing them...

one step forward...three back.

No dice - I don't have a u joint set like this - just an adaptor. I still can't get to the last bolt - passenger side back. I think I'll have to go through the spare tire space. I managed to get three of the four loose. Compounded to that, I have no idea how I'd. reach the connector.

That and probably my arm and hand is too fat

I tried going in through the left rear wheel too. That was even more difficult.

I noticed though that the bolts that hold the evaporations. canister on are rusted solid. I'll have to cut them and then run a new bolt. So damn annoying.

I’d just make a quick run to the tool store and pick up the swivel sockets but that’s me

Are there two different sets of bolts that could be removed to do this task? You have the four on the motor unit. These are horizontal (blue dots). Then there are four on the housing (purple dots), these are for the most part vertical. Just curious.
