Ive always removed the whole assembly, purple dots. The risk is that the gear is damaged and not just the motor. Purple dots section is the gear, blue dot section is the motor.

Maybe removing the motor will allow access to the purple dots.

Have started to make my way through the spare tire cavity. Those bolts that hold the canister and the the ones that hold the metal shield are tight. I've been spraying sea foam all day and they are still a bugger to get out. I just have to keep reminding myself I'm saving money somewhere along the line here...☺️

I any event I'm done for today - still have the metal plate to remove then on to the fun stuff. I hope this main connector isn't a bugger to get off. That's the last thing I need....

Done! But not quite.

Honestly, the hardest part was getting the rusted bolts out of the evap canister and the metal shield.

HOWEVER!

According to my gap tool, I'm still getting a P0806-00 error (Clutch position sensor -circuit range performance) and P080A - (Clutch position not learnt ) errors - tried to clear the faults but they didn't clear (or simply came back).

I don't have the clutch position control error anymore though.

Help!

I take it this is the calibration I can do through the GAP tool? I'm looking in to that...

Hi - I did this - I assume it's under the "self test" section of the tool ? I'm not sure what I paid for in Fast Lane service? - actually as I think this function was there already. I was under the impression it would be under the "calibration" section?

Anyway, I performed the "self test" of the rear diff - the error still doesn't go away.

Further more, I noticed that when I took it for a test drive, on an incline I'll be in drive, stop - but it will roll back. I thought the idea of the whole thing was to lock the diff so it didn't do that?

I ran the tool again and am getting the same faults - P0806-00 error (Clutch position sensor -circuit range performance) and P080A - (Clutch position not learnt ) error

Any other thoughts?

Yeah that's not what a locking diff does
